Everything old... stays old

People are always telling me I need to focus less on the past and more on the future. I suck at this. Last night I actually got out the Roswell pilot and watched the first half. I never realized before how crucial Sarah McLachlan's Fear was to the pilot. I heard that because of legal issues some of the songs had to be changed for the DVD. I really hope that's not one of them. I remembered how I hooked cynima on the show just by showing her the pilot one day (mid-second season; my apologies!) and with the Father Figure Candygirl video I made. I am still damn proud of that thing. :-)

Today is November 5th. Nothing important happened on this day 5 years ago. Yup.

So this is funny: a week ago someone at work sent out an email saying that a new hire in the company is moving to the city and looking for a place to live in the East Village just till the end of the year. Then yesterday Kevin sent out an email saying he's looking for a person who will fill George's space just till the end of the year. I forwarded it to HR, and apparently the guy called Kevin and it looks like they're going to live together! Weird! But cool. If it works out, they both owe me drinks. My fingers are crossed that this guy will be cute...not that I should aspire to dating one of Kevin's roommates again. :-b

My fancy new Sharper Image umbrella just broke. I'm still at work. This is the most god-awful copy I've ever seen. Who writes this crap? Which reminds me, I'm missing Smallville. Why God why???
