It happened again.

This morning at 8:30, the phone rang. This time I had the handset right next to me. I answered it, but this time the recording was different. "Please hold for an important message." It said that a few times. I eagerly waited, even speaking to the recording, in case someone could hear me. Then it JUST HUNG UP ON ME. I nearly cried. I know it was Sprint, it had to be, it was their time of day. WHY??? Why won't they leave me ALONE?? I really don't understand why I have to wait till they call me to tell them the number is wrong. What is the difference between me calling them and telling them they have the wrong number, and them calling me and my telling them it's the wrong number? Can't they call me right back if they don't believe me? Either way I'm not Robinson Garrido! Does anyone have any ideas as to what I could do? Should I file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau or something? My mind is starting to unravel. I'm afraid I'm going to have to deal with getting a phone call at 8:30 in the morning every day for the rest of the year! I can't take it! I can't!

I'm in a really strange mood today. Twitchy. Just warning you. Millar Gough Ink, hang-up phone calls and the bitch humming Beyonce next door make [livejournal.com profile] webmd go something something.

Smallville last night was a roller coaster of emotions. Joy, that we get a Lex episode. With no Lana for the entire first half. And HoYay! And gayness! And then...Lana shows up for no good reason. Fine, they needed someone to watch Lex who wasn't already involved. Why not call Pete? Remember Pete? Yeah, me neither. But then Lana gets trampled by a horse! My favorite horse. Cause we have to make this episode about Lana again! GOD FORBID we not put her some sort of peril! She's the only reason people watch the show! Everyone loves Lana! Lex who? Clark who? Imsorryimjustnotdealingverywelltoayatall.

And now Lana blames Clark for getting her involved (reasonable) and her resulting injury (not Clark's fault). And she says she should stay away from him but we all know she WON'T. Because she SHOULD. And I HATE MILLAR GOUGH!!!!! Did you hear me screaming when they cut back to Clark watching Lana in her hospital bed at the end? God fucking forbid we make the episode about Clark and Lex, the two characters in this show that actually matter.

And then we get Angel, and the extreme irony of this episode and its positioning is that it was a perfect example of Mutant Enemy doing what MG should be doing: if your characters have chemistry, if it's kind of homoerotic and you know your fans love it, use it! Don't run from it, embrace it! The flashback scene with Angel coming on to Spike in his sick scary dark way was even more poignant after watching Smallville, even if David Boreanaz can't hold an Irish accent between his knees.

I really need to catch up on past seasons of Angel. I didn't know who that guy was at the end. Denise explained it to me but I need the full backstory. So do you think Wesley was mysteriously absent because they filmed that episode the same weekend Alexis Denisof married Allyson Hannigan?
