It's one of those tough Mondays where my head is just running super-slow. I didn't even do my morning workout. That's five days I've neglected it, not good, especially since maintaining it was one of my goals to accomplish by the end of the year.

My long weekend was very lethargic and involved lots of eating and movies. I did have a lot of visitors at my apartment though. Bill, Diane and Jesse came over after Thanksgiving dinner. Much silliness ensued. Diane thinks I need a disco ball. And Bill says I should have a Twister board in the middle of the floor. On Friday night Emily came over, and on Saturday [livejournal.com profile] cynima and I went out for sushi and saw Mystic River, which I really hated. It's gotten amazing critical reviews, and while the actors in it were very good, I hated the movie because of my own personal movie preferences (it drives me crazy when people are falsely accused in movies) and also because I just didn't understand some of the characters. After the movie we went to Friday's and I got a Long Island Iced Tea the size of a large baby's head. And it was only $7! Friday's is my new favorite place to drink in Forest Hills.

I have been thinking about the whole Z100 concert thing and as much as I love the idea of seeing AAR on my lunch break, I have to admit it's just not feasible for me to pick up the wristband at Macy's at 5 today. Or maybe I'm just too embarrassed to even ask [livejournal.com profile] labdanum if she'd let me do it. :-b

I've also been thinking about the vacation I was supposed to take with [livejournal.com profile] cynima in January. We had planned to take a cheap flight to London and spend a long weekend there, because we could stay with her aunt for free. But I was just there and I don't have any really burning need to go back to London again so soon. I'd rather have a nice chill-out vacation, sipping drinks on a tropical beach. I like the idea of an all-inclusive resort package, but I'm not sure I like the idea of Club Med. Is there such a thing as a cheap weekend at a resort where they won't make me play stupid party games or eat yucky buffets, but where I can jet-ski and snorkel and drink margaritas on the beach?
