This morning when I left my house there was a little party going on in a Combat Ant Bait trap. I have to admit I felt a little bit bad for those little guys. They were all over that thing like it was a new toy. I felt like I was leaving pets behind. Still, when I get back, I don't want to see any more party. I want to see a clear, ant-free floor!
I went outside in a flannel and a denim jacket and I was *hot*! And the weather was warm too! Hee hee... I know it's going back to normal temps next week, and that's okay with me, so long as winter doesn't come back for revenge like it did so many times last year.
Do you remember the Garfield cartoon episode where they have a picnic and they're at war with the ants who keep stealing all their food? "Oh we're the ants, we'll eat your dinner/We'll always be around to mess up any day/When we're around everybody gets thinner/Cause if we're around we will take your food away." And then at the end Garfield dresses up like an ant to outsmart them? I think my brother and I are the only people on the planet who remember this. I love how I can always count on him to remember bizarre old cartoon references. :-)
(*EDITED TO ADD*: I just remembered that Garfield doesn't outsmart them at the end, he joins them so he can eat all the food too!)
I guess I could think of more to write about but I suppose I should stop goofing off and do what they're paying me to do here...
