Take that, Mel!
Nov. 29th, 2006 09:25 amI work in the same building as the CW (Channel 11) news, and once in awhile I'll see some cameras or some on-air people in the lobby, but today someone with a camera stopped me before I went into work to ask me if I would still go see Mel Gibson's new movie, Apocalypto, despite all his negative press. I said no I wouldn't, that the movie does have an interesting premise, but I didn't believe Mel Gibson's apology and so I wouldn't go see his movie. It was a good question because it's one I've actually asked myself. I am intrigued by the whole downfall of the Incas premise, and I wouldn't rule out ever seeing the movie on TV or video, but right now I go to the movies so rarely that I sure as hell wouldn't plunk down $12 at the box office to support Mel Gibson's career.
Of course this also means I might be on the CW morning news one of these days...with frizzy hair, shiny nose and lipstick half off because I decided to get a Dunkaccino this morning. Mmmm...sugar.
