I'm off from work today! Ah, relaxation. Here's the Friday Five.

1. What was the last song you heard?
Right now I'm listening to Semisonic "Chemistry." Before that it was "Run" by Collective Soul.

2. What were the last two movies you saw? On cable, I recently watched While You Were Sleeping and Murder By Numbers. I had seen MBN before, but couldn't shut it off when I found it on HBO. Much Ryan Gosling/Michael Pitt HoYay. :-)

3. What were the last three things you purchased?
Two bottles of seltzer and a dozen eggs at the supermarket.

4. What four things do you need to do this weekend?
-laundry
-send sympathy card to cousin Jeffrey (notice I'm not at the funeral, I'll explain later)
-go to my knitting class! It starts tomorrow. I almost forgot.
-party!

5. Who are the last five people you talked to?
Denise; creepy old man who hits on me; lady at local witchy store; my mother; a bank teller

Yeah so, I didn't go to the funeral. I called my mom last night to get the details and she had assumed I wasn't going, so my brother decided he wasn't going, and I didn't want to go if he wasn't going. Then my mother said that my cousin Lauren probably wouldn't be going if she were in the country, and it seemed like no one cared if I went so I decided to stay home and relax and do errands instead.

Today's momentous event was that I watched my first-ever episode of Xena: Warrior Princess. I've always thought I'd like the show if I saw it, and indeed I did. It was the episode where she's trying to protect her baby and her dopey friend gets poisoned by Apollo's sword, and Xena has sex dreams about Ares. Interesting stuff. I may have to check out the DVDs.

I decided not to go. Nobody really seemed to care if I went or not, and I had dinner plans with my friends anyway that I might have missed had I gone. Oh well.

Hmm, not the greatest of episodes, that one. :) (I can't even remember the title, which is usually a bad sign...) From season 5, which is widely acknowledged as the worst of the seasons...but yay for you liking it anyway! If you lived near I would totally lend you my dvd's of Seasons 1-3...I of course am an obsessive Xenite who has seen every ep like a billion times, and met most of the cast.

Ha, figures. They show them all the time on the Oxygen network. I should check and see when they start over from the beginning. How many seasons are there?

There were 6 seasons total (one less than Buffy got, sniff)..you'll definitely want to see some of the episodes with Callisto (aka "Psycho Barbie", heh), the best villainness ever - played by the stunning and brilliant Hudson Leick (who I've taken yoga from! I run a community on lj devoted to her, so I often babble about her in my journal...). "Callisto" and "Return of Callisto" (Seasons 1 and 2 respectively) especially are classics.
