All right, I have a confession...

I went to see Pirates of the Carribean! I'm sorry, cynima, I know you wanted us to go see it on Sunday but the weather was too icky to go to the concert in Central Park last night, so Emily dragged me! Kicking and screaming, yes. Till I remembered that you went to see Bend it Like Beckham without me, so now we're even. ;-)

Anyway, I definitely recommend the movie. It's a cute piece of forgettable fluff, but it's funny, and has lots of eye candy, and Johnny Depp is so great. The only thing I'll complain about is, like you say, cynima, NEN (Not Enough Nookie!) It occurred to me that I've never seen Orlando Bloom in a romantic role before (I don't think he's ever had one), and it would have been nice to actually see him in more romantic scenes in this movie, but it was still very good. And Keira Knightley plays a good bitchass woman character who actually deserves to kiss Orlando Bloom, in fact, she should have gotten more. I think the sexiest scene they have in the movie is the one where they don't kiss.

Also, it was a great movie to see before my sailboat training [keeping fingers crossed].

I know, I know. I'll consider seeing it again on Sunday, but I'm not sure I can swing the dough. I do want to see it again, but I'd rather it be on a widescreen TV while I relax in my own private bubbling hot tub. With Orlando Bloom, of course.
