Is it possible that digital music files can self-destruct or somehow cease to exist after a certain period of time? About a month ago I ripped my friend's Jimmy Eat World CD and about 3 weeks ago put it on a mp3/wma mix CD that I took with me to Scotland. I was listening to those files on that CD just last night, and when I turned on my player this morning, they just weren't there anymore. They had completely vanished from the little LCD menu. Could they possibly have some sort of copy protection that would cause them to vanish after a set period of time, or did my player just eat them? Verrrra strange.

Spent night #2 in my apartment last night. Still not happy with the furniture setup (I need my head to be against a wall or it just feels weird) but I rather like it there. I just need some rugs, bookcases and a TV stand. And a bigger TV. I'm thinking of painting the bathroom. Everything is just plain white and the bathroom seems a much easier task than the whole apartment. Once I get my pictures and stuff up on the walls it won't all seem so bare.

So I guess it's really fall now, huh? In the wee hours of the morning, I heard the heat coming on, making the clanging sound that heaters do. In my sleepy haze I thought, "The fraggles are banging on my pipes!"

ER last night was extremely disturbing. I want to smack John Carter upside the head though. What a self-involved, spoiled little brat. "Tell Abby I was lost and now I'm found"? You found yet *another* pretty blonde to fuck. Ever the humanitarian, aren't you John?

Jack Black needs to be in the commune.

Yes. It's not only possible, it's commonplace for downloadable files to "expire". Happens with freeware/shareware too. Spooky like that.

You even have a commune website? O_O Bwahahaha...if I added any husbands to the list they would all stand out so much against the rest of the husbands. *looks at icon* that and they wouldn't speak any english...

And Ally and Denise already took elijah and orlando. Must borrow them sometime...

I don't know - I relate to John Carter. Not the being filthy rich part, tho.

When he said, "It is simpler here." I knew what he meant - everything gets cut down to just living and helping others to live and to die with what little dignity there is to go around. There is a part of me that would want to be tested that way and not have all the societal bullshit to hide behind.

I need bookcases, too. Either two more of the size I already have, or one tall one.

I don't know, all I saw was the John Carter who just found himself another piece of blonde tail to chase around. I think he was just such a jerk to Abby...and originally I had such hope for them.

I think both Carter and Luka were being spoiled brats--it wasn't good enough for them to heal with the fucked up people and medical system in America, so they had to go somewhere even MORE fucked up to feel satisfied.

Yeah, and Denise wants Dr. Drew, so go figure. I figured I had to make a website to reference every time I mentioned the Commune in my journal, just so I wouldn't have to constantly explain it. And there are so many people in the Commune it helps to have a place to write them all down. I think Chris Walken was Denise's idea.

Can I have a guest room at The Commune? Can I have Christian Bale, Jake Gyllenhaal, Kieran Culkin and Hayden Christiansen?

I don't have to have all of them at all times--but I could deal with a joint custody situation.

Oops, Hayden Christiansen is my husband and Christian Bale is Ally's (although she has acknowledged she prefers younger CB and you like him older). I forgot to add them. The thing is, you can't officially be in the commune, so if any of the five of us wants any of your guys, we get priority. But you can have JG and KC for now and you can live in the adjacent complex with [livejournal.com profile] bettebauer (and her husband Kiefer.) And of course you're welcome to come hang out whenever, you can even have your own guest room. :-)
